Effect of Land Marketization Level and Land Prices on Foreign Direct Investment in China

With the increase in China’s land marketization level, fundamental role of pricing mechanisms optimizing allocation resources has received greater attention and affected foreign direct investment (FDI). This paper analyzes effects level prices on FDI using a mediation model based data primary market transactions 256 cities from 2003 to 2019. The results indicate that prices, are all increasing, with regional heterogeneity. Compared low-level cities, high-level have increased most. Low-level become new hotspots for FDI, whereas remain main destinations FDI. Both levels significantly promote Land exerts weak positive effect but strong indirect through general. this study enrich literature location decisions multinational corporations may serve as reference China other developing countries policies attract
